During the planning and construction phase of Disneyland Paris the Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) inhouse magazine WDeye published several articles to introduce the project to all imagineers. As 1992 draws closer, the focus of Imagineers has turned toward the opening of Euro Disneyland, which will introduce outdoor Disney entertainment to a whole new part’of the world. To get a better understanding of this monumental undertaking, the WDEye recently met with Ray Burge, director of Area Development in Imagineering’s Architecture & Facilities Engineering Division, and queried him on the EDL Phase I planning effort for the land areas outside of the Magic Kingdom.
