Richard Holliss: I think the first thing to ask you is about the sudden interest in animation again. What do you put that down to?

Roy E. Disney: I think it's a funny thing to define, really, because it's sort of a two-edged thing that's happening. We decided to get back into the animation business in a big way, more or less five years ago now, without really any specific indication from the audience that they were ready for that to be happening. On the other hand, I think. with the end of the seventies and into the eighties, that families began getting back together. During the Vietnam times there was really kind of a disintegration of the family. I think that's kind of all over with now. So we were sort of doing it at the right time. On the other hand, if you make a good film there is an audience there for it. So we've created it ourselves to a certain extent.
