Actor Fred MacMurray appeared in more than one hundred films, including The Shaggy Dog, The Absent-Minded Professor, Follow Me, Boys!, The Happiest Millionaire, and many other Disney movies from 1959 to 1973.
Fred MacMurray: I went out to the Studio and met Walt and, as I remember, I just went to work. I got a job out at Disney.
Richard Hollis: You were in a very successful TV series [My Three Sons] at that time, weren't you?
FM: Yes, I think the show was going at that time. I don't know whether it was or not. What year was that?
RH: The Shaggy Dog was '59. FM: I think I was doing the series at that time. RH: Yes. It was a big success, as well as a film.
FM: Yes, and I remember Walt saying at one time, after I'd been there a while, he said, "T was kind of worried about you being on television and in a movie of ours." But I find that if the series is a success and doing well, it helps the movie.
