This was my second full-dress interview with the Disney director Jack Kinney. He was joined on this occasion by his second wife, the former Eva Jane Sinclair, who had been his secretary and assistant director at the Disney Studio. I recorded the interview on November 3, 1976, at the Kinneys’ home in Sunland, California, a suburb north of Los Angeles. As the taping began, we were discussing the 1941 Disney strike. Jane Kinney mentioned that she had worked as a secretary in the Bambi unit, in an office between Dave Hand, Bambi’s supervising director, and Dave Hilberman, a layout artist, just before the strike, and so had a good look at both sides.
