Without Jack Cutting, Disney characters would have spoken English only.
Jack was born on January 19, 1908, and joined Disney in 1929 (in August according to this interview; on September 3, according to records at the Disney Archives).

After Snow White was completed he became one of “Roy’s people” as assistant on the dubbing for the foreign markets. By 1938 he had risen to head of the Foreign Department at Disney, a position he would keep until his retirement in 1975.
