According to Shamus Culhane’s book, Talking Animals and Other People, Walt made it hard for “old-timers” and ex-New Yorkers at his Studio, chiding them for their “bad drawing habits” and training on “cheap productions”. Berny Wolf was one of those New Yorkers who joined the Studio during the quick expansion phase which preceded the creation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Having been on the “wrong side of the fence” during the 1941 strike, he had been mostly forgotten by animation historians.”
