Dolores Voght Scott was Walt’s longest serving secretary. Having started at the Disney Studio in 1930, she retired in 1965. She passed away on April 10, 1981.
Walt’s other secretaries included his wife Lillian Bounds, who worked at the Studio from 1924 to 1925 and then in 1928; Gerrie Gilson and Lucille Benedict in 1929; Carolyn Shafer Churchill (wife of Disney’s famous composer Frank Churchill), who started in 1930 and moved on in 1934; Tommie Laurine Wilck from 1958 to 1966; and finally Lucille Martin, who was Walt’s secretary from 1965 to 1966 and then worked for Donn Tatum, Card Walker, Ron Miller and Michael Eisner.
