Since the ’70s and early ’80s are considered as the less creatively interesting years of the Disney Studio, they are often overlooked by Disney historians. For some of us who were kids during those years, however, the sentimental ties to movies like The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound, and even The Black Cauldron are strong and make us curious to know a lot more about the artists and the creative energy that surrounded these projects.
Which explains why, after having read Christian Renaut’s interview with one of the lesser-known talents of the Disney Studio, Didier Ghez decided he needed to try and fill in a few remaining gaps; hence, the follow-up interview below.
