Here’s a preview of 60-acre Disneyland - you‘ll see it soon on TV Walt Disney is having the time of his life. The eminent movie producer and gadgeteer now has a $10.000.000 toy to play with - his fantasy Disneyland, which he has dreamed of for 20 years. Ground for it was broken recently on a 160-acre plot on the outskirts of Los Angeles. It will be completed in 1955. Meanwhile the materials for it are being assembled at the Disney Studios in Burbank. On October 27, there will be a television preview of his fabulous project, the details of which until now have been reluctantly released. What we give you here - a preview of the preview - is the first complete picture of the enterprise, gained from snooping around the Disney studio and fair grounds. For the first time, too, a map of Disneyland is here released to the general public. As it shapes up, what Disney plans is a sort of, permanent and sealed-down world's fair for youngsters - and also for adults who, like Disney, find their greatest joy in childhood memories. […]
