This week, I am excited to share with you a conversation with another one of the true makers of magic, Dave Bossert. His story began at CalArts, but led his to working at the Walt Disney Animation Studios on films including The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Oliver and Company, The Little Mermaid, The Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Hercules, and many others before being elevated to visual effects supervisor on Fantasia/2000, and was the associate producer on the Academy Award nominated short Destino. He went on to work on special projects for various Disney theme park attractions, and is the author of numerous books on Roy E. Disney, Kem Weber, and Oswald.
