Times Man Is Ordered From Yugoslavia After His Story of Ban on Comic Strip
Mickey Mouse, whose doings in a comic strip resulted in his being banned by the Yugoslav censor last week, is going to be responsible for the expulsion of a correspondent from Yugoslavia unless the Belgrade Government intervenes.
The Belgrade police sent this morning for Hubert Harrison, correspondent of The New York Times and of Reuters, British news agency, and informed him that his residence permit would be canceled and that he would be forced to quit the country if he did not leave voluntarily by Wednesday night. He was forced to sign a statement saying that he had been ordered to leave the country "for having offended against the interests of Yugoslavia."
Tonight a different statement was issued to the Belgrade press. It said that Mr. Harrison had been ordered to leave the country because of "his tendentious and inaccurate way of informing the press." No charge of inaccuracy had been made to Mr. Harrison.
