WASTE disappears almost magically at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and Contemporary Resort Hotel at Lake Buena Vista, Fla., 20 miles southwest of Orlando.
Walt Disney World employees collect trash almost as it hits the ground and an automatic vacuum-actuated collection (AVAC) system daily inhales 50 tons of popcorn boxes, hot dog wrappers and other refuse at a speed of 60 mph.

The 15 stations, which resemble 55-gallon drums, are located near areas where paper refuse is disposed of in large quantities, such as service and eating areas.
