Although Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 20th anniversary next week as the No. 1 tourist attraction in all of Europe, it wasn’t always wine and Roquefort for the resort.
The men and women who worked on the venture — legendary Disney designer Tony Baxter among them — watched with bewilderment as the park — and a Disney park at that — suffered through what best could be described as growing pains after Disneyland Paris opened on April 12, 1992.
