"The Watcher in the Woods" is one of the most haunting and powerful mysteries ever created by Walt Disney Productions.
The legendary Bette Davis, who begins her second half century in films, highlights the cast of the suspense thriller.
Carroll Baker, David McCallum, Lynn-Holly Johnson and Kyle Richards star as an American family that encounters mysterious, strange and ominous phenomena when they move to the English countryside. Also featured are Ian Bannen and the romantic British actor Benedict Taylor, who makes his American film debut.
Executive producer Ron Miller gathered an impressive assembly of talent for "The Watcher in the Woods," co-produced by Tom Leetch with Hugh Attwooll as associate producer. Director John Hough elicited the eerie mood of the film from his vast experience of films including "Treasure Island," "Legend of Hell House," "Escape to Witch Mountain" and "Return From Witch Mountain."
Alan Hume was the director of photography, Elliott Scott the production designer and Basil Rayburn was production supervisor.
