STAN: First, Mr. Disney, I want to thank you for giving me this time in an obviously busy schedule. Your production schedule that is coming up is quite impressive. WALT: We have a few other things too, you know, such as Disneyland, the park. And we have a lot of planning and what we call the different stages. Imagineering is the first stage, engineering the second, and then constructing and installing the exhibits. Now that's going on at the same time, so there's never a dull moment, you might say. STAN: Do you consider that your particular company is paradoxical in that there's so much going on here and yet we read stories where production is slackening and things are not as busy as they should be around the studios? And yet we get the impression here that you've been busier than ever before. WALT: Well, I think it's because I'm diversified. We do television, we do the theatrical things, and again my park, the Disneyland park. I use the same talents to develop the different attractions at the park that I do to make my cartoons and make my other films here.
