He jumps from "Wind in the Willows" to become a Disney hero
The thousands of children and grownups who have read Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows have all been fascinated by the complex personality of one of its principal characters, Mr. Toad - a haughty, mercurial, boastful, hospitable, charming, unbearable animal who is master of Toad Hall, a noble pile rising alongside a peaceful English stream. Now millions will get a good, new look at Mr. Toad. Large as life and speaking with the voice of Eric Blore, the movies’ eternal English butler, he is the hero of a 30-minute movie by Walt Disney. It is shown, along with Disney's version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, in a film called The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.
