This is the largest above-ground structure at the Fair. It consists of a glass-enclosed rotunda 235 ft. in diameter, surrounded by 65 pylons over 100 ft. high. Next to it is a flared rectangular pavilion over 500 ft. long and seven stories high. The main attraction is a "magic skyway" that consists of a motorized ride through a darkened tunnel featuring, on both sides, a Walt Disney-created animated adventure portraying man's progress from prehistoric times into the world of tomorrow. Part of the ride takes place through two transparent, unshaded glass tubes along the periphery of the pavilion, giving riders a panoramic view of the Fair. These tubes are 75 percent glass-only the roof is covered -and require nearly four times the quantity of conditioned air called for by the average installation.
