Marc Davis joined the Disney Studios in 1935 after art school and commercial art work. One of Walt Disney's “nine old men", he worked on many of the key Disney characters before joining WED to concentrate on three-dimensional animation. His talk includes: characterization through movement and speech; the excitement and influences of the first Disney decade; procedures of film conception and production. From his discussion of 'the Old Studio' one gets a strong impression of Walt Disney himself - the dynamic, forceful imagination behind this extraordinary body of art.
