The sound design supervisor for TRON was Michael Fremer, whose responsibility it was to provide a finished soundtrack, consisting of music and sound effects, for the film. Fremer, whose background in sound began in radio while in college during the mid-60s, gained his first motion picture experience as a co-writer and editor on Stephen Lisberger’s animated feature, ANIMALYMPICS (1979). When Lisberger started to make TRON, he brought Fremer along to supervise the sound.
