It was 41 years ago that Cinefex founder Don Shay sat down to interview Richard Fleischer — an interview meant to uncover material for an intended book project. When Shay put the book aside in favor of starting work on Cinefex the following year, the transcribed interview went into a file cabinet, where it has been ever since. That incisive and illuminating interview, revealing behind-the-scenes stories about the making of the classic 1954 feature film from Walt Disney Studios, finally makes its way out of the file cabinet and into the pages of the 162nd issue of Cinefex.
