Ed Fox, General Manager of Resort Services for EK Walt Disney World Co., gets a kick out of quoting from his list of ""Fun Facts."
For example, "In our central laundry we do 24,000 sheets per day, 24,000 washcloths, and 37,000 hand and bath towels daily. We also do 35,000 bar mops a day, 5,000 tablecloths and 62,000 napkins."
Fox oversees the two-story 56,000-sq.-ft, laundry and drycleaning facility that picks up, processes and delivers all housekeeping, table linen and cast member costumes for the Walt Disney World Co, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, 20 miles southwest of Orlando.
Walt Disney World is a family entertainment park covering 6,600 acres of a 28,000-acre site, 7,200 of which have been designated as wilderness preserve. Thirty thousand employees, of whom Fox estimates that 20,000 to 22,000 are costumed employees, serve more than 20,000,000 visitors annually.
