We met Bud Hester in Walt’s People – Volume 6. After having released that interview, I realized that there was still a lot we needed to ask him.
Didier Ghez: The first thing I wanted to know before talking about your career at Disney is when and where you were born and what art school you attended before joining Disney?
Bud Hester: I was born in Glendale, California, on December 3rd, 1928. I went to school locally there then went to USC as an engineering major, but then I was called into the Korean War.
