Sharon Baird is an American actress, voice actress, singer, dancer, and puppeteer best known for having been a Mouseketeer in all three original seasons of the Mickey Mouse Club.
EMC West: Do you remember when you #rst met Annette?
Sharon Baird: I first met Annette probably 53 years ago, on “The Mickey Mouse Club.” We had already started filming. We’d been there maybe two weeks, something like that, and Walt Disney had seen Annette dance at a dancing recital, at the Al Gilbert Dancing School. She danced the lead in Swan Lake, and he saw her there. She was the only Mouseketeer, of the twenty-four of us, that Walt Disney hand-selected. And she came in on the set, beautiful lady that she is, and we were all enamored with her. She’s just a delightful, wonderful person.
